New Project? Who Dis?

As many of you know, I'm doing podcast coaching under the Podcast Mastery brand. It's been quite a ride so far.

I've been working hard to get my new brand, Podcast Mastery, out in front of people for the last couple of weeks. On Monday, I finally set up the brand's LinkedIn page. Now, I feel like I need to start pushing even harder.

It's been a while since I've started a new brand. I've had Entrepreneur's Enigma (the podcast) and Marketing Junto (this newsletter) for a few years. So, I have to admit, I'm a little rusty. 😜

That being said, the support I've been getting from clients, prospects, and colleagues has been fantastic.

As fun as it is to create something new, it can be really nerve-racking.

I'm still doing Web Design, SEO, and overall digital marketing. That is what pays the bills.

But with more than 14 years in the podcasting space, I should be sharing and monetizing my knowledge. I didn't want to confuse the parent company, Goldstein Media, with the new shiny object. Hence, the new brand, logo, and LinkedIn/social media assets (where I deem them needed).

Have you started a new brand or sub-brand? How'd it go?

Ghost is about to beat Substack in Discoverability
Ghost’s Fediverse integration will have larger implications for the newsletter landscape. Namely, I think this will eventually bring the slow death of another social silo: Substack.

I agree. Substack is trying to keep their users on their platform and because of that they're gonna lost to Ghost. That's my guess.

Why is Substack’s rival Ghost becoming more and more popular? - The Fix
The advantages that made Substack strong in its early days are now pushing major users, including European media, towards other platforms, such as Ghost.

Great to see Substack get some competition. Let's see if journalists like Taylor Lorenz move to Ghost.

WP Engine Files Injunction to Halt Mullenweg’s Attacks and Regain Access to WordPress.Org
WP Engine has filed a preliminary injunction in a U.S. court to stop Automattic CEO Matt Mullenweg’s public attacks and restore the hosting company’s access to WordPress.org.

This seems to be why Matt is so quite lately. In my opinion, how it should always have been.
