I Vibe-Coded A Social Media Posting App
FediDeck is a Tweetdeck-like multi-column app for the ActivityPub (Open Social Web) protocol social networks. I coded it using Lovable.dev and it actually works!
I've wanted a multi-column "Tweetdeck-like" interface for Mastodon for awhile. I've found some apps that have worked, but weren't exactly what I wanted. So, I decided to use Lovable.dev to vibe code it. Introducing FediDeck.app
All in I've spent probably 8 hours (over a number of days) "vibing" with the AI to build it out. And it worked! But, it still needs iterations and was definitely not a one shot deal. Still improving it all the time.
Currently, I've been able to overload it with API calls to Mastodon, not a good thing, but a good edge case for power users.
I'm rather impressed with the suite of features I have in it so far! I keep adding more as people give me suggestions and as I use it.
You can see the updated change-log here: https://updates.fedideck.app
Give it a whirl and let me know what you think. And if you want to help funding this project with a donation (one-time or monthly) you go to go my Ko-Fi. Every little bit helps! Thanks!
🎙️Have A Podcast? Join The Podcast Mastery Community🎙️

The news and content consumption landscape has shifted—and podcasts are leading the charge.
Younger generations aren't just occasionally listening to podcasts for news and information—they're abandoning traditional media for them. If you're not leveraging this medium, you're missing out on one of the most powerful ways to build your personal or professional brand.
Here's the problem: most people start a podcast without a roadmap. They waste months figuring out what works through trial and error, or worse—they give up entirely.
I've spent over 15 years in the podcast industry, watching it evolve from a niche hobby to a billion-dollar ecosystem. And here's what I know for certain: the podcasters who succeed don't go it alone. They learn from others who've already navigated the challenges, avoided the pitfalls, and cracked the code.
That's why I created the Podcast Mastery Community on Skool—a space where you can learn alongside experienced podcasters, get real feedback, and fast-track your success.
Whether you're launching your first episode or looking to grow your existing show, this is where your podcast journey truly begins.

A good take from Tom Webster on podcasting and exploring new avenues in the space but staying true to yourself and your show.

Interesting take. I don't fully agree or disagree with this stance. Dr. Bender is definitely on the ant-artificial intelligence side of things, so I read the article with that in mind.

Worth a read if you ask me. Web design and development is going to be co-opted by AI. It's time to pivot. That's what I'm doing. Casey mentions the plight of Tailwind.css' dev team. This is real and happening, because of AI.

So now you can be a horrible person if you pay for the system. This might quash a little bit of the issue, but it's not dealing with the overall issue, which is user behavior and guardrails. Am I surprised that Grok is as bad as it is? Nope.

Wow, the richest person in the World is burning money like it's going out of style. His xAI company lost close $1.5 BILLION in a single quarter! Geez, that's a lot of money.

This is a good thing. You'll soon be able to give out a username vs. your phone number on WhatsApp.

This is good for the whole podcasting space. Open RSS is the wave of the future. Mark my words. iHeart using Open RSS to serve both their audio and video means you'll be able to see both versions in the RSS and consume it how you want. This is a HUGE win.

This is good for the EU and good for the industry as a whole, IMO.

This seems like a good idea... right? Um, I'm not too sure about this. Meta apparently needs more power than the country of Ireland. Um... yikes.

Such sad news about Tailwind CSS! AI does have some major downsides.
It sure has.

Age verification is flawed. Deeply flawed.

A neat Docker guide.

Yep! Going to see this happen more and more! It sneaks up on ya!

A good listen about the Fediverse and building an instance.
This cracked me up for some stranger reason.
This chases the AI out of your Windows 11 machine! Definitely RTFD before implementing!
