Google Artificial Intelligence Will Now Call Businesses For People
For someone like me, who hates calling businesses on the phone this is great. But there are nuances that will probably get missed at the start.

Google's artificial intelligence will now call businesses for users. This seems like a great idea, especially for people like me who hate calling businesses for simple tasks like if the business is open or to make a restaurant reservation.
What I'm curious about is how the AI will deal with follow up questions from the business representative.
I can also see a future where people use their AI agents to call businesses who also use AI agents to deal with customers. So computers talking to computers.
And like a good marketer, I'm thinking about how using agents can benefit businesses directly. From appointment reminders and scheduling to getting a quote for a B2B product.
Do I think AI will completely make the business development representative's job obsolete? No. But definitely more interesting, that's for sure.
I see a personal use case for me. Ordering pizza for dinner from my local pizza shop. It's the same order every time and if I could push a button and just have it make the call that'd be great.
One thing I do fear is that the more we let AI do tasks for us the more humanity is lost. And connection to one another, albeit brief at times disappears.
What do you think? Would you use an AI agent to call a business? Or do you prefer to call yourself?
