Cross-Medium Branding

In today's marketplace just having one avenue of outreach isn't enough you need to be where the people you're trying to get in front of are hanging out.

Today, more than ever, both businesses and individuals should think about the content they're putting on the Internet.

Having just one spot where you communicate with your followers or customers is not enough.

It's great that you have the newsletter, but what about the podcast or being on podcasts? What's your plan there?

It's great that you have a podcast, but how do you get people to listen and engage with it? Maybe you need a newsletter.

Not to mention having a strong presence on social is very important. I hear the groans from some of you already. But picking your platform where you know your "people" hang out is crucial.

For example, I'm very active on LinkedIn because that's where my target customers are. I post my content from my podcast and newsletter there and ask for insights and thoughts on the content. I usually get get good conversations going around what I posted about and because I have have a branding strategy that crosses mediums.

So when you're looking at your content calendar think about how else you can get your content out to the people who want to hear from you and are your key audience.

Do you share your content across mediums and networks? I'd love to know. Hit reply or respond in the comments.

Gemini Rendering

The news and content consumption landscape has shifted—and podcasts are leading the charge.

Younger generations aren't just occasionally listening to podcasts for news and information—they're abandoning traditional media for them. If you're not leveraging this medium, you're missing out on one of the most powerful ways to build your personal or professional brand.

Here's the problem: most people start a podcast without a roadmap. They waste months figuring out what works through trial and error, or worse—they give up entirely.

I've spent over 15 years in the podcast industry, watching it evolve from a niche hobby to a billion-dollar ecosystem. And here's what I know for certain: the podcasters who succeed don't go it alone. They learn from others who've already navigated the challenges, avoided the pitfalls, and cracked the code.

That's why I created the Podcast Mastery Community on Skool—a space where you can learn alongside experienced podcasters, get real feedback, and fast-track your success.

Whether you're launching your first episode or looking to grow your existing show, this is where your podcast journey truly begins.

Join the Podcast Mastery Community today and stop guessing your way through podcasting.

36 Predictions for Social Media Marketing in 2026
These tips and trend pointers could help you prepare your marketing plan for 2026.

Let's see how many of these end up as a reality.

How People Around the World View AI
Most adults across 25 countries are aware of AI, and people are generally more concerned than excited about its effects on daily life.

Interesting study. Not surprised it's from Pew Research.

Pinterest Adds Controls to Reduce AI Content in Feeds
Pinterest users say that the amount of AI generated Pins has become overwhelming in some categories.

I'm not a big Pinterest user, but I can only imagine the amount of AI slop that's in that network right now. It's got to be unbearable.

How to know if your GEO is working
GEO performance comes down to proof. Share of Search, buyer intent, and prompt visibility show whether your strategy is creating real demand.

Knowing that your optimization efforts are working in the AI search is becoming extremely important. Especially now that Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc. all cite their sources, you want your site to show up as a source to get some traffic from the query.

How to make workers happier with less pay
It turns out that remote work is even more desirable than previously thought, according to new research — and employees will even take a pay cut to avoid the office.

Interesting piece from Mike Elgan in Computerworld about remote work and employee happiness. Shocker (not really), remote work is popular and apparently enough that some people will take less pay to have that option.

The Blurred Truths of Sora
Many will assume that OpenAI’s Sora app represents a new era of social media. But that’s wrong—all it does is reanimate our current one.

The Sora 2 network from OpenAI, was interesting for a bit, but I haven't been back inside in more than a week. It was a neat parlor trick, in my opinion, not the next BIG social network. It's a prime example of brain-rot.

OpenAI Blocks Users From Making AI Videos of Martin Luther King Jr.
The company says it’s adding new “guardrails” to protect historical figures from AI misuse.

Good that OpenAI decided to do what's right. It was a bit rotten and in poor taste.

This looks fascinating.

Wikipedia says traffic is falling due to AI search summaries and social video | TechCrunch
Looks like Wikipedia isn’t immune to broader online trends.

I'm sure this is happening across the net.

The End of Windows 10 Support Is an E-Waste Disaster in the Making
In an example of egregious planned obsolescence, as many as 400 million computers will soon hit the waste stream.

I didn't think about that! Lots of e-waste!

YouTubers aren’t relying on ad revenue anymore — here’s how some are diversifying | TechCrunch
YouTubers are no longer just creators, and in some cases, their side businesses are growing faster than their channels.

Clever and needed. Diversification is important, not just in the stock market.

Health Care Has a Trust Crisis. Wellness Influencers Aren’t Helping
Wellness influencers can spread misinformation to the masses at the click of a button, but what is being done about it?

The influencer trend has gone too far, if you ask me.

California becomes first state to regulate AI companion chatbots | TechCrunch
SB 243 is designed to protect children and vulnerable users from harms associated with use of AI companion chatbots.

Big move for California, especially the state being the mecca for technology companies.

Good Tape, Bad Tape
When re-enactments and docudramas were the pinnacle of audio journalism in the US, and tape was considered cold and second-rate.

This newsletter issue is too good not to share. Especially for audiophiles and radio nerds. 🤓😁😝
