Cross-Medium Branding
In today's marketplace just having one avenue of outreach isn't enough you need to be where the people you're trying to get in front of are hanging out.

Today, more than ever, both businesses and individuals should think about the content they're putting on the Internet.
Having just one spot where you communicate with your followers or customers is not enough.
It's great that you have the newsletter, but what about the podcast or being on podcasts? What's your plan there?
It's great that you have a podcast, but how do you get people to listen and engage with it? Maybe you need a newsletter.
Not to mention having a strong presence on social is very important. I hear the groans from some of you already. But picking your platform where you know your "people" hang out is crucial.
For example, I'm very active on LinkedIn because that's where my target customers are. I post my content from my podcast and newsletter there and ask for insights and thoughts on the content. I usually get get good conversations going around what I posted about and because I have have a branding strategy that crosses mediums.
So when you're looking at your content calendar think about how else you can get your content out to the people who want to hear from you and are your key audience.
Do you share your content across mediums and networks? I'd love to know. Hit reply or respond in the comments.
🎙️Announcing The Podcast Mastery Community 🎙️

The news and content consumption landscape has shifted—and podcasts are leading the charge.
Younger generations aren't just occasionally listening to podcasts for news and information—they're abandoning traditional media for them. If you're not leveraging this medium, you're missing out on one of the most powerful ways to build your personal or professional brand.
Here's the problem: most people start a podcast without a roadmap. They waste months figuring out what works through trial and error, or worse—they give up entirely.
I've spent over 15 years in the podcast industry, watching it evolve from a niche hobby to a billion-dollar ecosystem. And here's what I know for certain: the podcasters who succeed don't go it alone. They learn from others who've already navigated the challenges, avoided the pitfalls, and cracked the code.
That's why I created the Podcast Mastery Community on Skool—a space where you can learn alongside experienced podcasters, get real feedback, and fast-track your success.
Whether you're launching your first episode or looking to grow your existing show, this is where your podcast journey truly begins.
Join the Podcast Mastery Community today and stop guessing your way through podcasting.

Cory Doctorow is a defender of the Internet and privacy. This is a good interview.

Let's see how many of these end up as a reality.

Interesting study. Not surprised it's from Pew Research.

I'm not a big Pinterest user, but I can only imagine the amount of AI slop that's in that network right now. It's got to be unbearable.

Knowing that your optimization efforts are working in the AI search is becoming extremely important. Especially now that Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc. all cite their sources, you want your site to show up as a source to get some traffic from the query.

Interesting piece from Mike Elgan in Computerworld about remote work and employee happiness. Shocker (not really), remote work is popular and apparently enough that some people will take less pay to have that option.

The Sora 2 network from OpenAI, was interesting for a bit, but I haven't been back inside in more than a week. It was a neat parlor trick, in my opinion, not the next BIG social network. It's a prime example of brain-rot.

Good that OpenAI decided to do what's right. It was a bit rotten and in poor taste.

Not surprising that WordPress, though declining, is still dominant. But SaaS CMSs are gaining traction.🤔

Don't get too excited this doesn't mean that if your show is on Spotify that it'll be on Netflix. 😝

This looks fascinating.

I'm sure this is happening across the net.

I didn't think about that! Lots of e-waste!

Clever and needed. Diversification is important, not just in the stock market.

The influencer trend has gone too far, if you ask me.

Big move for California, especially the state being the mecca for technology companies.

This newsletter issue is too good not to share. Especially for audiophiles and radio nerds. 🤓😁😝
