Airpods With Cameras
Could the new Apple Airpods with Cameras be a good thing for marketers? A thought experiment.
So Apple's new Airpods, the company's high-end earbuds, are getting cameras in them. Yes, you heard that right CAMERAS.
From Mashable:
In case you're worried about being surreptitiously recorded by any random person with AirPods you see on the street, these cameras would not be used for any kind of photo or video capture. Instead, Gurman [at Bloomberg] says they would be low-resolution modules used to see the environment for the purpose of interacting with an AI assistant.
So this makes more sense then a nifty little spy gadget. But again, more data flowing to AI.
So how can this be used for marketers? Well since this is a visual play, albeit low-resolution, having your ads show with clear messaging will probably be important.
Now that I know that I'm not going to be surreptitiously recorded without my consent, I'm intrigued more than concerned. Also these earbuds being made by Apple, who normally are pretty good with privacy, puts my mind at ease as well.
More from Mashable:
Big Tech companies clearly think there will be demand for this sort of device. OpenAI is working on an AI wearable with the famed designer Jony Ive, and Motorola released a concept AI pendant at CES 2026. Apple is also rumored to be working on a wearable AI pin, while Meta and Google have invested in developing smart glasses with cameras.
I think we're only at the beginning of seeing physical devices using AI to aid the wearer. This could be a real boon for advertising if done right. And a real importance for AEO/SEO practitioners to get their clients in the LLM listings.+
Would you wear Airpods with cameras? I'm still on the fence.

🎙️Have A Podcast? Join The Podcast Mastery Community🎙️

The news and content consumption landscape has shifted—and podcasts are leading the charge.
Younger generations aren't just occasionally listening to podcasts for news and information—they're abandoning traditional media for them. If you're not leveraging this medium, you're missing out on one of the most powerful ways to build your personal or professional brand.
Here's the problem: most people start a podcast without a roadmap. They waste months figuring out what works through trial and error, or worse—they give up entirely.
I've spent over 15 years in the podcast industry, watching it evolve from a niche hobby to a billion-dollar ecosystem. And here's what I know for certain: the podcasters who succeed don't go it alone. They learn from others who've already navigated the challenges, avoided the pitfalls, and cracked the code.
That's why I created the Podcast Mastery Community on Skool—a space where you can learn alongside experienced podcasters, get real feedback, and fast-track your success.
Whether you're launching your first episode or looking to grow your existing show, this is where your podcast journey truly begins.

Meta is such a 💩 company. I don't blame anyone working there being miserable.

Bad for the US tech but the rest of the World should have options.

Ugh! No!

End of an era. TBH, I didn't even know Ask was still around. LOL.

Wow, not knowing how a directory structure works is insane. My 13 year-old's school made sure they know how to use a file system. Kudos to them! (*Note this story is from 2021).

This is great news. Substack ISN'T free and, still, has a Nazi problem. I hope this causes more Journalists and writers to move off the platform.
